Quick update on the challenge.
You can watch the video below or read blog post below.
Originally, the plan was simple.
Find trading robots.
Deploy them across different markets.
But that approach has changed.
The focus is no longer just systems.
The focus is now strategy-to-market alignment.
Each strategy needs the right asset and environment.
So the new rule is simple.
Match each strategy to the market it naturally fits best.
The core 5-strategy framework
As from my original game plan, the system is still built around five core strategies:
- Scalping
- Trend following
- Mean reversion
- Breakout
- Swing / reversal
But now each one has a defined role in the portfolio.
Updated asset-to-strategy mapping
AUDNZD → mean reversion
AUDNZD moves slowly.
It often ranges.
This fits mean reversion logic well.
EURCHF → swing / reversal
EURCHF is stable.
It has smoother structure.
It suits reversal-based systems.
USDCAD → scalping
USDCAD is liquid.
It moves consistently intraday.
It fits scalping strategies.
XAUUSD (Gold) → breakout
Gold is volatile.
It expands strongly.
It is ideal for breakout systems.
GBPJPY → trend following
GBPJPY trends aggressively.
It delivers strong momentum.
It suits trend following systems.
BTCUSD → trend following (experimental)
BTCUSD will use a trend following approach from the core 5 strategies.
It has strong directional behaviour.
It can sustain long moves when it trends.
However, it will not be part of the core rollout yet.
It will serve as an extra experimental asset.
If performance is stable, it can scale later.
If not, it stays isolated from the core system.
I will only expand BTCUSD further if a suitable strategy proves consistent under live conditions.
Key strategic shift
Now here is the main change in execution.
I am not deploying everything at once.
I am sequencing the rollout based on momentum and validation.
Phase 1 focus
Phase 1 will focus on:
- XAUUSD (Gold) → breakout strategy rollout
This is the priority.
Gold provides:
- high volatility
- strong breakout structure
- fast feedback cycles
- clear directional moves
This makes it ideal for early validation of the system.
BTCUSD remains secondary and experimental at this stage.
Why this approach
This is not about over-diversification early.
It is about control.
We start with one strong market.
We prove execution.
We build confidence in the system.
Then we expand step by step.
Future phases
Once XAUUSD is stable, we expand into:
- AUDNZD → mean reversion
- EURCHF → swing systems
- USDCAD → scalping
- GBPJPY → trend following
Then the full 5-strategy portfolio becomes active.
Final thoughts
The direction has not changed.
Only the structure has improved.
We start focused.
Build proof.
Then scale into diversification.
