Alright, quick update,
Today’s focus is testing fundamentals.
Backtesting and demo testing is how you actually know if you’ve got something solid… or if you’re just guessing.
Backtesting shows you how your strategy behaved in the past , where it struggles, how bad the drawdowns get, and whether there’s even a real edge there (most people skip this part… big mistake).
Then demo testing is where it gets real.
You see how it performs in live conditions, spreads, execution, all the small things that can throw your results off.
It’s basically the closest thing to real trading without putting your own money on the line.
Skip this step? You’re not trading… you’re gambling.
Anyway, today I set up a fresh demo account on my VPS so I can properly backtest and forward test a strategy in a live environment (but safely).
If you’re doing this too, set yours up the same way.
I recorded a quick video showing exactly what I did , watch it below and just follow along.
